Neuville, Van Ginkel Questionable Vs. Iowa

MADISON, Wis. – Wisconsin won’t know until game time whether two of its top seniors are going to be available for the Big Ten opener.

Tight end Zander Neuville and outside linebacker Andrew Van Ginkel – both injured in last weekend’s loss to BYU – are listed as questionable with right leg injuries heading into tomorrow’s prime-time road contest at Iowa (7:30 p.m., FOX).

Wisconsin head coach Paul Chryst said both players did participate in some portions of practice this week. Van Ginkel is arguably UW’s best pass rusher and playmaker in the front seven, while Neuville is UW’s best blocking tight end. The Badgers would love to have him considering the Hawkeyes have 12 sacks in the first three weeks of the season, second most in the Big Ten and tied for third in the country.

Here is the rest of this week’s injury report, which no longer includes junior outside linebacker Tyler Johnson, who played sparingly last week.
