Wisconsin's Five Keys To Victory Over Iowa

Under the lights in Iowa City to kick off the Big Ten schedule for Wisconsin, what more can you ask for? Tonight features two teams that predicate themselves on similar things to win games: establish the run, limit mistakes and play solid defense. Whoever executes that plan better will more than likely win.

For Wisconsin, here are the five things they need to do to win their conference opener.

1, CONTROL THE CLOCK

Both teams will want to establish the running game early to balance out the offense. These two teams are extremely similar in style, but Wisconsin is just a more efficient Iowa in large part to having Jonathan Taylor in the backfield. Taylor has rushed for over 100 yards in all three games and is second in the country in yards per game (171.7). If Wisconsin’s offensive line can open up alleys for him, the Badgers can control time of possession and grind the Iowa defense down.
