Badgers Move Up In The Polls

MADISON, Wis. – A resounding 41-24 victory for the University of Wisconsin over Nebraska Saturday night gave good vibes to the Badgers’ offense. It also gave the Associated Press poll voters some additional confidence in UW heading into a tough road matchup.

UW moved up one spot to No.15 in the AP poll Sunday, as the Badgers look to get themselves back into the College Football Playoff picture early in the Big Ten season.

The first ranking from the College Football Playoff committee will be announced October 30. Wisconsin also moved up two spots to No.10 in the USA Today/Amway coaches poll.

Wisconsin will face its first ranked opponent this weekend in No.12 Michigan, which moved up three spots after a 42-21 home victory over Maryland. After a season-opening 24-17 defeat to Notre Dame, the Wolverines (5-1, 3-0) have won five straight by an average of 28.2 points.

Kickoff from Michigan Stadium is set for 6:30 p.m. CT on ABC.
