Wisconsin Opens As Underdog At Michigan

MADISON, Wis. – The University of Wisconsin is set to play its third consecutive night game. The only difference this week is that the Badgers enter a primetime affair as the underdog.

Facing its first ranked team of the season, No.15 Wisconsin opened as a 7.5-point underdog at No.12 Michigan Saturday night (6:30 p.m./ABC)

Michigan (5-1, 3-0 Big Ten) leads the all-time series 50-15-1, including a 28-7 mark in Ann Arbor. In the 37 meetings dating back to 1968, the Wolverines have been ranked 33 times, including 28 times in the top 15. UW (4-1, 2-0) has only been ranked 11 times over that span but has been ranked in the last five meeting, including four times as the higher ranked team.

A 41-24 winner over Nebraska Saturday night, Wisconsin won its 17th straight regular-season Big Ten game, the nation’s longest active conference win streak and longest such streak in UW history.

The Badgers are 31-5 (.861) in Big Ten play since the start of 2014. One of those losses came at Michigan, losing to the eighth-ranked Wolverines, 14-7, in 2016.

Kickoff from Michigan Stadium is set for 6:30 p.m. CT on ABC. ESPN’s College Gameday will broadcast on site in the morning.
