Week 8 Bowl Projections: Wisconsin Likely Headed South

For the last 16 seasons, the University of Wisconsin has experienced the joy and reward of a postseason bowl game. The last four seasons have been all that more rewarding.

UW has won four straight bowl games, beating Auburn (2015 Outback Bowl), USC (2015 Holiday Bowl), Western Michigan (2017 Cotton Bowl) and Miami (2017 Orange Bowl). That is tied for the longest current bowl winning streak in the country (with Georgia, Louisiana Tech and Utah).

Wisconsin’s bowl projections took a massive hit with a 25-point loss at Michigan Saturday. The Badgers will certainly not make the College Football Playoffs and are currently a long shot to make one of the New Year’s Six bowl games. But with winnable home games coming up against Illinois and Rutgers, Wisconsin will get to six weeks and qualify for a bowl game for a school-record 17th straight season.

After seven weeks of the College Football season, here are some projections for Wisconsin’s postseason bowl destination.
