Wisconsin Bowl Projections Post Week Eight

For the last 16 seasons, the University of Wisconsin has experienced the joy and reward of a postseason bowl game. The last four seasons have been all that more rewarding.

UW has won four straight bowl games, beating Auburn (2015 Outback Bowl), USC (2015 Holiday Bowl), Western Michigan (2017 Cotton Bowl) and Miami (2017 Orange Bowl). That is tied for the longest current bowl winning streak in the country (with Georgia, Louisiana Tech and Utah).

With bowl representatives from the Citrus Bowl and the New Era Pinstripe Bowl watching from the press box, Wisconsin got back on track with a 49-20 victory over Illinois last Saturday. And while the Badgers will likely not factor into the College Football Playoffs this season, a strong closing run will get the Badgers to a top-tier bowl game or, perhaps, in the mix for a New Year’s Six Bowl.

Either way, Wisconsin is one win away from qualifying for a bowl game for a school-record 17th straight season.

After eight weeks of the College Football season, here are some projections for Wisconsin’s postseason bowl destination.
