Badgers Drop Out of National Polls

The second loss in three weeks was enough for voters to drop the University of Wisconsin out of the national rankings.

One day after its 31-17 loss at Northwestern, the Badgers dropped out of the Associated Press poll and Amway Coaches poll. The Badgers (5-3, 3-2) were ranked 20th in the AP poll before the loss and 19th by the coaches. UW received 12 votes in the AP poll and 41 in the coaches poll.

This marks the first unranked week for UW since the 2016 preseason, snapping a streak of 40 straight polls in which the Badgers were included.

Wisconsin hosts Rutgers (1-7, 0-5) at Camp Randall Saturday. Kickoff is 11 a.m. on BTN.
