Wisconsin Bowl Projections Post Week Nine

One week after being projected to finish near the top of the Big Ten bowl pecking order, the University of Wisconsin finds its postseason destination in a muddled mess as a middle-of-the-road Big Ten team.

With all hope of playing for a New Year’s Six Bowl gone and unlikely to have a chance to play for a Big Ten championship in early December, the Badgers still find themselves one win shy of qualifying for a bowl game for the 17th straight season entering the month of November.

The Badgers (5-3, 3-2 Big Ten) will likely earn that distinction Saturday against Rutgers (1-7, 0-5), but road trips to No.14 Penn State and Purdue in the weeks that follow will go a long way to determine where the Badgers play their final game of the season.

UW has won four straight bowl games, beating Auburn (2015 Outback Bowl), USC (2015 Holiday Bowl), Western Michigan (2017 Cotton Bowl) and Miami (2017 Orange Bowl). That is tied for the longest current bowl winning streak in the country (with Georgia, Louisiana Tech and Utah).

After nine weeks of the College Football season, here are some projections for Wisconsin’s postseason bowl destination.
