On Film

Both of these players benefited by playing their best football during their senior seasons. Njongmeta recorded 131 tackles, 10 sacks and two forced fumbles this fall and is being projected as an inside linebacker, a position that requires its players to be fearless running through traffic up the middle and bringing down ball carriers. Watching his tape, Njongmeta plays with that explosiveness, as his tackle numbers certainly show he has the natural ability to flow to the football using proper angles and having solid technique.

Meyers is a stand-up edge rusher, which is a position the Badgers have looked at repeatedly in past years to fill their quota for outside linebackers. He’s strong at the point of attack, has good maneuverability around tackles who aren’t prepared for his speed off the edge, allowing him to make plays in the backfield. He can fight through defenders, track down ball carriers and has the right set of tools to be a capable outside backer.
