Watt Brothers Racking Up The Victories

Three of the hottest teams in the NFL all have one thing in common: there’s a highly-talented Watt on the roster.

J.J. Watt (Houston Texans), Derek Watt (Los Angeles Chargers) and T.J. Watt (Pittsburgh) all helped their respective teams to road wins Saturday to extend winning streaks that all reach at least four games.

Helping the Texans deliver a fourth-quarter comeback on the road at Denver, J.J. Watt continues his comeback season with two tackles, one sack and three quarterback hits.

After dropping their first three games of the season, the Texans (6-3) have won six straight and sit on top of the AFC North. During the win streak, J.J. Watt has five sacks and two forced fumbles.

Paving the way for former Wisconsin teammate Melvin Gordon to run for 113 yards and delivering a key block on his 32-yard touchdown, fullback Derek Watt and the Chargers survived a comeback effort by another former Wisconsin standout, quarterback Russell Wilson. The Chargers’ 25-17 victory over the Seahawks was their five straight win and puts them squarely in the AFC’s playoff picture.

Registering five tackles in a road win at Baltimore, T.J. Watt has been on a tear on Pittsburgh’s four-game winning streak, notching 22 tackles and four sacks on the stretch. Even with all their locker room drama, the Steelers are trending upward heading into their Thursday game against equally-hot Carolina.
