Jack Coan To Start For Wisconsin Vs. Penn State

As expected, Wisconsin sophomore quarterback Jack Coan will make his second start of the season this morning when the Badgers face No.21 Penn State at Beaver Stadium.

Coan replaces junior Alex Hornibrook, who suffered his second concussion in three weeks in last week’s 31-17 home win over Rutgers. Hornibrook did not make the trip to State College.

Making his season debut two weekends ago, Coan completed 20 of 31 passes for 158 yards and a touchdown in the loss at Northwestern. Replacing Hornibrook in the second half last week, Coan went 5 of 7 for 64 yards and an 11-yard fourth-quarter touchdown to Danny Davis.

Penn State is a 9-point favorite. Kickoff is at 11 a.m. CT on ABC.
