Wisconsin Makes Easy Work Of Houston Baptist In 96-59 Victory

MADISON, Wis. – After its huge Tuesday road win at Xavier and an impending trip to the Bahamas for three games in three days, would the University of Wisconsin suffered a letdown against lowly Houston Baptist?

Nope, not even in the slightest.

Jumping out to a double-digit lead six minutes in, Wisconsin never looked back in a thoroughly dominating 96-59 victory over the Huskies at the Kohl Center Saturday night.

Ten players scored for Wisconsin, which is off to its first 3-0 start since the 2014-15 season, including a team-high 17 points from Brevin Pritzl.

It was another banner night for Ethan Happ, who registered a double-double (15 points, 12 rebounds) and broke the school record for most rebounds in a career (911). Sophomore Nate Reuvers added a career-high 15 points and Charles Thomas chipped in with 10, as Wisconsin held a 34-24 rebound edge and outscoring the Huskies (1-2) 54-28 in the paint.

Wisconsin leaves for the Bahamas on Monday to start preparing for its opening round game against Stanford in the Battle 4 Atlantis tournament. Tipoff is at 1:30 p.m. CT
