Wisconsin Tackle David Edwards Ruled Out Against Minnesota

University of Wisconsin right tackle David Edwards will spend what could be his last home game on the sidelines Saturday, as the junior will miss his second straight game with a left arm injury

The news was confirmed on Wisconsin’s updated injury report Friday prior to the Badgers’ regular-season finale against Minnesota.

Quarterback Alex Hornibrook (concussion) remained questionable Friday after the junior missed the Badgers’ previous two games and three of the last four. He sat out UW’s loss at Northwestern on Oct. 27 with a concussion before suffering a second head injury the following week against Rutgers, causing him to miss the loss at Penn State and triple-overtime victory at Purdue.

Redshirt freshman Logan Bruss is expected to make his second career start at right tackle in place of Edwards, who flirted with declaring for the NFL draft last season before ultimately returning to school.

Running back Taiwan Deal (right leg) was removed from the injury report after being listed as questionable earlier in the week.
