Wisconsin Bowl Projections - Week 14

Wisconsin’s Saturday dud might have cost the Badgers a warm and sunny postseason destination.

Instead of finishing among the top Big Ten teams outside of the college football playoff committee’s seeding, the Badgers’ 37-15 embarrassment to Minnesota dropped them toward the middle of the conference standings behind Iowa (8-4) and next to Michigan State (7-5).

After alternating wins and losses for the final two months of the season, Wisconsin enters the postseason as an inconsistent program not playing good football. The positive news is that there are a number of bowls who would love to have Wisconsin in its game.

In the bowl games with contracts with the Big Ten, the Pinstripe Bowl (New York), the Redbox Bowl (Santa Clara, Calif.), the Gator Bowl (Jacksonville, Fla.), the Music City Bowl (Nashville) and the Quick Lane Bowl (Detroit) all haven’t hosted Wisconsin. Even with the Badgers far from must-see television, the prospect of a bowl swaying UW’s fans to a new location is appealing.

UW will find out its postseason berth this Sunday and begin preparing for what they hope will be its fifth straight bowl victory.

After 13 weeks of the College Football season, here are some projections for Wisconsin’s postseason bowl destination.
