Wisconsin Holds Steady In AP Poll

MADISON, Wis. – A blowout win over a bad team last week kept the University of Wisconsin at No.16 in this week’s Associated Press Top 25.

Following a stretch of playing seven games in 18 days, all against power conference teams, Wisconsin made easy work out of Savannah State last Thursday, putting five players in double figures in a 101-60 victory.

Michigan (No.4), Michigan State (No.10), Ohio State (No.15), Indiana (No.22), Iowa (No.23) and Nebraska (No.25) make up the other Big Ten teams in the poll.

The Badgers are currently 1-2 against teams in the AP Top 25, playing all three games away from home (loss vs. No.4 Virginia in the Bahamas, win at Iowa, loss at No.20 Marquette).

UW has seven future games against teams in this week’s AP Top 25, the first being a home game against Michigan Jan.19.

Currently on an eight-day break for final exams, UW hosts Grambling State (5-6) at 11 a.m. Saturday.
