Wisconsin Remains An Underdog For Pinstripe Bowl

MADISON, Wis. – The news of a quarterback switch for the University of Wisconsin’s bowl game has kept the Badgers as underdogs for the 2018 Pinstripe Bowl, although they slightly closed the gap.

With sophomore quarterback Jack Coan slated to start his fourth game of the season, the Badgers (7-5) remain a three-point underdog, according to Vegas Insider. Since Miami (7-5) opened as three-point favorites on December 2, the line has jumped to as high as Miami +4 but has dropped a full point in the last day.

The over/under for the game is 47.5 points while Wisconsin is a 1.5-point underdog for the first half.

The Badgers announced Thursday that Coan would burn his redshirt and play in his fifth game after starter Alex Hornibrook continues to struggle with a concussion suffered sometime around or after the Illinois game on Oct.20.

Wisconsin is 15-14 in bowl games and have won its last four bowls, including beating Miami, 34-24, in the 2017 Orange Bowl. The Badgers are 2-0 against the Hurricanes in the postseason, also winning the 2009 Champs Sports Bowl.

Kickoff for the 2018 Pinstripe Bowl will be 4:15 p.m. CT. The game will be televised by ESPN
